Job Description

SUMMARY
The Group Account Director is responsible and accountable for the overall planning, leadership, and direction of marketing efforts, and or web development for a leading communications account. In addition, they have overall responsibility for managing the account’s growth, profitability, and the value-add relationship with the clients.
The Group Account Director must have a strong relationship with all Senior Clients based on a full understanding of the Client and Agency business objectives and goals. Assures the Agency`s full resources are marshaled and effectively applied to each account.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be engaged and passionate about delivering outstanding work and creative ideas to our clients.
• Participate directly in developing marketing strategies and communication plans for the client and stayed updated on the latest market offerings and leading competitors.
• Daily contact with client to monitor and maintain work for effective results.
• Actively involve team members in relevant communications, brainstorming, and solutions.
• Accountable to the client and internal team for (and accordingly contribute to) the development of workable budgets, plans and timetables.
• Accountable within AKQA for profitable project estimates followed by accurate and timely client billing and bill payments.
• Constantly insure that work is within scope, on schedule and budget, and take corrective actions to address any issues.
• Adopt and present effective AKQA point-of-views and recommendations both orally and written.
• Possess a solid working knowledge of the roles and skill sets of each AKQA department.
• Consult and analyze project results with Client Services Director and Director of Production.
• Work with the Director of Business Development to identify and act upon opportunities for new work within client relationships.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
• 8-10 years of Account Management experience, preferably in an interactive & agency setting.
• Working knowledge of the communications industry preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proven record of leading client meetings, organizing projects, and leading internal teams.
• Ability to establish priorities and objectives, to gather, classify, categorize, and readily retrieve information to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Strong evidence of ability to clearly direct and coordinate the activity of others; to motivate and inspire others to accomplish work; to assign and delegate work to others; to instruct and monitor the work of others.
• Knowledge and experience within the global communications marketplace.
• Experience working with blue-chip, quality brands and bringing those brands to life online
• Must possess a high-level knowledge of creative and technical process and requirements
